Meet The Stunners, Again!

iTalkGossip June 30, 2010

What do we know about the Stunners? We know they consist of five talented sassy ladies doing their thing to make it in the industry. They were formed by Colleen "Vitamin C" Fitzpatrick. They are on the touring with Justin Bieber on his My World Tour. That much we know.

Well the girls have been around for a while. They have appearances on movies and television shows, such as, "Two and a Half Men", "Wizards of Waverly Place", "Everybody Hates Chris", "10 Things I Hate About You", and "School Gyrls" and more.

Right now the girls are touring with Justin Bieber, performing and promoting their butts off. Hopefully after the tour (They are only scheduled the first 20 dates) we get news of a full album another video and maybe a tour of their own.

I reported about the Stunners before, but since I like them and think you all should like them. I had to post again!

Review: Eclipse Just as Bad as Other Twilight Movies

iTalkGossip

Tue., Jun. 29, 2010 6:15 PM PDT by Luke Y. Thompson

Review in a Hurry: The Twi-hards will adore The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, no matter what. It's made for people who thought the first movie was quality cinema, after all, and for them, our grade may as well be an A+, since it's slightly better than Twilight.

If you're part of that crowd, feel free to stop reading right now.

This review is for everyone else. Those of you who may have heard that Eclipse is supposed to be the best, most action-packed, most mass-appealing of the franchise.

It's not, and here's why:

The Bigger Picture: As if you didn't know, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner return for the latest installment of will-she-or-won't-she make it with either sensitive vampire or abdominally enhanced werewolf.

In director David Slade's hands, the story plays like two movies in one, neither being particularly well made, whether it's the would-be action horror of a brewing vampire-on-werewolf fight or the endlessly talky Bella-Edward torpor.

Slade was considered an unusual choice as director for this third chapter in the series, a guy who supposedly earned horror cred with the more violent vampire voyage 30 Days of Night. But he has plenty in common with the Twilight series: two previous features that were generally overrated by fans, and a knack for creating characters nowhere near as appealing as they need to be.

His Hard Candy mistook a ballsy premise (teen avenger torments possible pedophile) for art while making neither of its protagonists likable, and 30 Days of Night took some cool vampire designs from an existing comic book and plunged them into a fairly standard thriller template, whose characters I can only remember now because one of them was Josh Hartnett and the rest weren't.

In Eclipse, Slade favors that stuttery, drop-frame, fast-motion style of action directing that looks like he simply shot stuff in slow motion and then sped it up, all while goosing it so that you can't quite make out what's going on.

He gets off one good action sequence early on—a chase through the forest along a river bank, as Bryce Dallas Howard's villainous Victoria leaps back and forth between werewolf and vampire territory while pursued by both. But the final showdown that makes up most of the trailers so far is no Underworld, and it's not like the Underworld movies set a super high standard for that sort of thing.

The plot, for those who care and yet somehow don't know it, goes something like this: Angry, widowed vampiress Victoria, as in New Moon, is continuing her really slow march toward revenge on Edward and Bella for killing her bloodthirsty mate in the first Twilight.

More importantly, as far as fans and the storyline are concerned, Bella continues to blow off Edward's marriage proposals, despite being undoubtedly in love with him, all while selfishly leading on the considerably more rugged and practical wolf-boy Jacob.

Both men want to protect her from the inevitable showdown with Victoria's new apprentice Riley (Xavier Samuel), but—hold your breath here, folks—they can only succeed if they stop bickering long enough to work together.

In fairness, said bickering is by far the highlight of the film. Slade plays the sitcom-ish jabs between both male leads as more obvious camp than prior directors did, giving Stephenie Meyer's earnest world a welcome dose of humor. Here's hoping Bill Condon can continue down that path in the fourth movie.

The 180—a Second Opinion: As is par for the course by now, Billy Burke's Charlie Swan and Anna Kendrick's Jessica steal every scene they're in. Though, frankly, given the way Jessica has been portrayed onscreen, the fact that she's valedictorian in this doesn't speak too highly of Forks High School.

Miley's $24K Extensions!

iTalkGossip ,

Miley Cyrus forked over spent $24,000 on hair extensions. An insider reported to InTouch Weekly!

Not only did she spend $24,000 on the extensions. She had them flown from Italy to New York to hairstylist Kristina Barricelli at Gemini 14 salon. Then had her hairstylist flown to LA to attach them to her head.

All of this for extensions? Really? Miley? Really? It's fake hair, you know? Not even if I had the money!

Teen Vogue: Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas: Can they still be friends?

iTalkGossip June 29, 2010 ,

The romance! The breakup! Camp Rock 2 costars, tour mates, and former It couple Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas on being together . . . and drifting apart.
By Lauren Waterman

They’re both talented, good-looking, and famous, but Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato don’t exactly have the world on a string: Simpler pleasures, of the sort afforded to other kids their age, sometimes elude them. Earlier this year, when the Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam costars decided to test the romantic possibilities of their rock-solid friendship, they felt compelled to do so in public; when they broke up just a few months later, Joe announced it by issuing a statement, and Demi—always true to her loyal fans—decided to confirm the details on Twitter. “I kind of learned throughout this whole experience that having my private life public isn’t as awesome as it might seem,” the seventeen-year-old says with a rueful little laugh.

Even the process of scheduling their pre-split sit-down with Teen Vogue, for example—at which the then-couple agreed to interview each other—was complicated by their inability to appear together without risking mass hysteria. But for the most part, they seem to be fairly at ease with all the attention: After a daylong press junket, Demi’s famous laugh is still as loud as ever, and Joe, 20, is chipper and ready to chat. (Naturally, they were more subdued when they spoke to Teen Vogue again after their breakup, but more on that in a bit.)

Demi Lovato: What’s your favorite thing about me?

Joe Jonas: Do you really want me to answer that? Why don’t you tell me: On set, what was your favorite snack? Because I think I already know.

Demi Lovato: The tomato-cheese quesadillas. Do you remember those? They were so good. What did you think it was?

Joe Jonas: Cheese sticks.

Demi Lovato: We didn’t have cheese sticks!

Joe Jonas: Well, for some reason, I imagine you eating a lot of cheese sticks.

Demi Lovato: [Laughs] Thanks.

Joe Jonas: They just seem like something you would like.

Demi Lovato: I do love cheese sticks.

Joe Jonas: There you go.

Demi Lovato: So what was the hardest thing for you about making Camp Rock 2?

Joe Jonas: Finding time to sleep. There were so many things to do. If I wasn’t on set, I was cooking or working out. What about you?

Demi Lovato: I think it was balancing sleep too. Even though I wasn’t working out, I was dancing, sometimes for hours on end.

Joe Jonas: Have you ever been to a real summer camp?

Demi Lovato: Yeah, I went to church camp when I was in the sixth grade. What about you?

Joe Jonas: I went to sleepaway camp seven years in a row. I was such a pro. We had these relay races at the end of every summer, and the majority of the competitions were eating contests. Sometimes you would have to eat, like, a whole can of Spam; once I ate four raw potatoes. I didn’t really recover for weeks after that.

Demi Lovato: Eww!

Joe Jonas: In some ways, making this movie felt like camp all over again. During breaks, we weren’t hanging out in trailers—we were going down to the lake or playing in the woods.

Demi Lovato: We met when I auditioned for Jonas. What was your first impression of me?

Joe Jonas: I saw right away how smiley you were. Obviously, I didn’t have a say in who was going to be cast, but it ended up being a good thing that you didn’t get that role. If you had, you wouldn’t have been in Camp Rock.

TEEN VOGUE: You guys were friends before you started dating. Whose idea was it to take the next step?

Joe Jonas: Mine.

TEEN VOGUE: So, Demi, you didn’t already fancy him?

Demi Lovato: I had always fancied him. Want to know what actually happened? One night I asked him, “What is the deal? We’re perfect for each other. What are you doing?” And he was like, “This is really awkward. I have to go.”

Joe Jonas: I needed time to think.

Demi Lovato: And I thought, Great, I just ruined a friendship. But then the next day, he came knocking at my door.

Joe Jonas: Once she confronted me, I kind of confronted myself.

TEEN VOGUE: Joe’s been in a couple of very high-profile relationships—with Taylor Swift, and Camilla Belle—and Demi’s dated Trace Cyrus. Was it ever hard to see each other with other people?

Demi Lovato: Every girlfriend he had, I always wanted to have a friendship with, because I felt like if she was worthy enough to be with him, then she must be great. It sucked, watching, but I was always happy for him.
Joe Jonas: It wasn’t easy.

Demi Lovato: Sometimes it was like, “So my boyfriend is so awesome.” “Well, my girlfriend is really great.” “Good for you!” [laughs]

TEEN VOGUE: You’ve sung together frequently. Do you like the same kinds of music?

Demi Lovato: I sent Joe some music from one of my favorite bands, Neon Indian. And he, in turn, introduced me to Michael BublĂ©. I also showed him who the Jonas Brothers were, and Joe’s been a fan of them ever since.

Joe Jonas: Well, I used to like the Jonas Brothers.

Demi Lovato: And then they became mainstream.

Joe Jonas: She listens to harder music sometimes than I would. She’ll say, “Listen to this great song.”
Demi Lovato: And he’s like . . . scary!

Joe Jonas: It’s like, I’d much rather go see a happy movie.

Demi Lovato: And I would rather see an action film. So we alternate. We do other things too. We’ve had Easter egg hunts.

Joe Jonas: Not on Easter.

Demi Lovato: [Laughs] We’ve gone to Disneyland. We’ve made pizza. We go to dinner, on nice dates. And he cooks for me—he’s good.

Joe Jonas: I love making Italian food. And coconut chicken.

Demi Lovato: I’m a vegetarian, though, so I just eat the vegetables.

Joe Jonas: I make vegetarian stuff too!

Demi Lovato: What are your goals?

Joe Jonas: I’d love to act more. I’ve had to turn down multiple movies because I was on tour, but it’s encouraging to know that someday there might be the right role, the right timing. And I’ve been writing a lot of music, so hopefully very soon I’ll have recorded a project of my own. I also want to get a boat and open a restaurant. What about you?

Demi Lovato: I want to be able to play more serious parts. I think it would be awesome to play an Angelina Jolie–type role in an action movie. Musicwise, I want to try new sounds. I want to be fearless.

TEEN VOGUE: Is there one question that no one ever asks you that you want to ask each other?

Joe Jonas: Demi, do you think you’ll ever eat meat again?

Demi Lovato: Yeah. I’m not necessarily against it. I just don’t like the taste, and for environmental reasons. What’s the point of hurting the world if I don’t like it? But I’m not saying I’ll never have another hot dog for the rest of my life. My question for you is, Would you ever shave your head?

Joe Jonas: Yes. I’ve already asked my dad if I could.

Demi Lovato: Why does your dad get to decide?

Joe Jonas: I can’t just shave my head. There’s a lot more that goes into it than with the normal 20-year-old. But I will, for sure. I’ve always wanted to.

Postscript: Less than 48 hours after their interview, Joe and Demi decided—mutually, Joe insists—that it was better to be friends. A few days later they agreed to talk to Teen Vogue (this time separately) about their breakup. “It could have been better timing,” admits Joe, calling from Washington, D.C. “But there’s never really a good time for something like that. I really care about her.” Demi, speaking from the Los Angeles set of her show Sonny with a Chance, was less guarded than her ex: Asked if she’d felt something was missing between them, she says simply, “No.” Asked if that meant it was his decision to end things, she says, “Yeah.”

“We haven’t spent any time together since everything,” she says, “because that would be awkward, but I’m sure things will go totally back to normal once we’re on tour together. It’s just that at this point I’d rather be hanging out with my girlfriends than seeing my ex.” Joe, for his part, is eager to resume the close friendship they once had. “In this business,” he explains, “it’s really hard to find people who are going to be there for the rest of your life. When I met Demi, I knew right away that our friendship was really strong. I don’t want to lose that ever,” he says.

joe, on their recent breakup: “It could have been better timing, but there’s never really a good time for something like that. I really care about her.”

demi, on the breakup: “At this point I’d rather be hanging out with my girlfriends than seeing my ex.”

The Real World 'Back to New Orleans' Trailer

Meet the Cast: Real World: New Orleans

iTalkGossip
Eight new strangers find themselves right smack in the middle of the "Who Dat Nation," caught up in the reverie of a Super Bowl victory and the never ending party known as Mardi Gras.

Caught up in the rebirth of New Orleans, the roommates discover compassion and romance, while igniting a passion for the city's legendary food and music.

The diverse group includes an ex-basketball star, a DC State Department worker, a Florida beach beauty, and a Lebanese girl who leaves her tight-knit family for the first time. Living in a gorgeous Southern style home, the roommates' journey is not all parades and fun: a Mississippi party girl is haunted by abuse from a past boyfriend; a hockey player is determined to stay sober after an addiction to painkillers; and a bitter rivalry between two roommates reaches a crisis point and threatens the entire house.

The Cast
Knight
Knight is a 23 year-old Wisconsin native who has lived and breathed hockey for as long as he can remember. Recently his life was turned upside down after a severe shoulder injury cost him his athletic/academic scholarship at Arizona State University and left him unable to play the sport. During recovery he became addicted to painkillers, and now everyday is a battle to remain clean. Reclaiming his life, Knight is currently teaching hockey clinics to children and pursuing his marketing degree at the University of Milwaukee. Although he's known for his promiscuity, he's not afraid to show his romantic side when he finds the right girl, which just might happen to be a fellow roommate. Knight is most excited to move to New Orleans so that he can get away from all the negative influences in his life back home. But will the city, best known for its twenty-four hour party life, distract Knight from all of the positive progress he has made?

Jemmye
As vocal supporter of gay marriage and legalization of marijuana, Jemmye doesn't necessarily come off as someone from a conservative Mississippi hometown. She enjoys casual sex with no commitment, and she has a preference for black men (until she meets fellow roommate, Knight), which is about as scandalous as it gets in her heavily Southern Baptist community. Jemmye is recently free of an abusive relationship. Her mother Alice is her best friend and they have no secrets from one another, to the point where Jemmye frequently discusses the intimate details of her sex life with her mom. But one secret she hasn't told her mom is about the past relationship that haunts her to this day. For most people, Mardi Gras is a one day affair, but something tells us Jemmye will be collecting beads all season.

Eric
It's not often that you meet a Real World roommate who's a stand-up comic AND holds a job at the State Department, traveling the globe briefing foreign service personnel on American policy. Far from Mr. Serious, Eric's true passion is comedy, and he's already made significant progress in his career, performing regularly and winning several competitions. Eric, known for his dreamy eyes is a handsome ladies' man and has perfected the art of juggling various girls at one time. We're pretty sure Eric will be getting into a bit more than just Hurricane Katrina relief.

Sahar
Sahar grew up in a conservative Arab community in Dearborn, MI. It would be easy to assume that because of that she's a submissive, conservative girl. But that would not be the case. She's a strong-willed, liberal Muslim who is not easily intimidated. Expect her to speak her mind. Sahar was fortunate to have parents who allowed her a bit more space to be herself; however, there are still things that she was forced to hide from her community, like her virginity... or lack thereof. Although in a vague long-distance relationship, Sahar is used to turning heads and is constantly crushing on boys-- but just wait until she meets roommate Eric! A budding singer/songwriter, Sahar looks to explore more of this career in New Orleans, no matter what anyone in her conservative community thinks.

Ashlee
Coming to New Orleans fresh out of a rocky break up, Ashlee is anxious to explore new opportunities. That could include pursuing her ultimate dream job of being a sideline sports reporter. Or it might just mean partying hard in the Big Easy. Ashlee grew up in a small New Jersey suburb, where it was easy for her to cement herself as the top athlete of her high school. She continued her successful athletic career at Northeastern University, where she was the captain of her Division 1 basketball team--a position she likened to being a "babysitter." The fact that she's an athlete doesn't make Ashlee a tomboy; she can transform into a girly girl at the drop of a hat. And yes, her lips ARE natural. She may seem like the perfect roommate in New Orleans, but one thing is for sure: Ashlee is a bit of an instigator, and is no stranger to stirring the pot.

Preston
Preston's first childhood memory is of crying in the back seat of the car while his mother went to score crack. Needless to say, his family life was anything but ideal. When he was 17, his mother essentially abandoned him, leaving Preston to fend for himself. Despite a rough childhood, he's somehow managed to grow into a carefree individual who walks to the beat of his own drum. As a proud, young, gay, black man, Preston strives to be the center of attention. He has no filter, but what he does have is a bitchy side, which he's not afraid to show. In fact, he encourages confrontation, happily putting you in your place if need be. But be careful. If you push Preston too far, something is bound to get thrown in the toilet. Known for his outlandish antics and urge to mingle, we're sure Preston will be getting his fill on the New Orleans strip

McKenzie
Twenty-one-year old McKenzie is a down to earth sorority girl attending the University of Central Florida and majoring in psychology. Raised on Florida's beaches with her three siblings and happily married parents, McKenzie's childhood was pretty idyllic. As a practicing Catholic who experiences her beliefs on a deep and emotional level, McKenzie is nonetheless quite liberal. Just when you think she's the picture-perfect example of a good girl, she whisks you away to the bar to pound shots -- all the while playing up her innocent side. But don't let that image fool you, she knows exactly how to use her sexuality to get what she wants. Known to party a little too hard, she often finds herself in very compromising situations totally unaware of what a flirt she is. No stranger to philanthropy, New Orleans is the perfect setting for this natural born leader looking to make a difference in the world. Hurricane Relief by day and pounding hurricane cocktails by night...sounds like McKenzie will fit right in.

Ryan
One part: unpredictable, two parts: ADHD and OCD, twenty-one year old Ryan is one of the most bizarre roommates in New Orleans. Whether it's his fascination with cold ears or his tendency to chase his roommates around the house naked, Ryan's high energy makes him the life of the party and chief instigator of the group. A legit hairstylist, Ryan is never far from his shears and blow dryer and is known to blow himself dry rather than use a towel. He ultimately wants to cut hair for rock stars and celebrities. Entirely unconcerned with how others perceive him, Ryan is in touch with his emotions and feminine side. He is charismatic, creative, and fun loving, and he wears his heart on his sleeve. This after battling with a variety issues, including both a rocky relationship with his father and depression. Extremely opinionated and unafraid to fight for the last word, Ryan will no doubt be at the front and center of any controversy in New Orleans.
