Mean Girls 2 Straight To DVD!

There have been rumors reported of a "Mean Girls 2". If you've surfed the web about it, you will notice plenty of Mean Girls fans upset about the matter. I am one of them.

Don't worry fans the remake won't damage the name that is "Mean Girls" that starred Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert, Amanda Seyfried, Tina Fey, Tim Meadows, Lizzy Caplan, Daniel Franzese and many others that made this movie the cult classic that it is.

Mean Girls 2 is the sequel to the highly successful 2004 movie, Mean Girls. It will be direct-to DVD movie in 2011. I guess even the studios didn't want to damage the most quoted movie of all time. "Too gay to function!"

Shooting of the movie began on July 6 2010, in Atlanta, Georgia. It will be directed by Melanie Mayron. Tina Fey will NOT be involved. Even she knows this is not right. The movie seems to be taken over by Disney Stars. Which is not a bad thing, Lindsay Lohan was still under Disney's contract when she started in the original. in 2004.

Meaghan character 'Jo' will be the main mean girl, taking the place of Rachel McAdams' Regina George. Why not? She did such a convincing job as mean girl, Tess Tyler, in the Camp Rock movies. (sarcasm)

Nicole Anderson is to play, Hope Plotkin taking the place of Gretchen Weiners that was played by Lacey Chabert in the orginal. Nicole is known as 'Macy', from the Disney Channel shows "JONAS" and "JONAS L.A." and 'Bianca' from the movie "Accused At 17".

Maiara's character is still currently unnamed, she is to be playing one of Jo's followers, the Plastics. Since Meaghan is the new Regina and Nicole is the new Gretchen, that means Maiara's character is the new Karen Smith. You may remember Maiara as 'Meena Paroom' from the Disney Channel's "Cory in the House" and as 'Ana Solis' from "Desperate Housewives"

Synopsis

The story revolves around a new high school student, Jo, who agrees to befriend an outcast, Abby, at the urging of Abby's wealthy father in exchange for paying all of Jo's costs for the college of her dreams. Jo and Abby team up to take on the school's "mean girls," the Plastics. The story becomes a high stakes battle of loyalty that ultimately comes to a head when one of the girls finds out that her friendship has been bought and paid for.

Knowing that it will be a straight-to-dvd release. I know it will NOT murder the classic. If this was a theatrical release. All hell will breake loose.
